.. on the house and I hear a siren, then another, and another, and then I notice a car all caddywhompass at the entry to our property with a few WSP cars, 4, parked right in the road. A guy jumps out of the sheetbox Acura and proceeds to run right at our house. He sees me and decide to run through to the neighbors, passing me by with two WSP officers on his tail about 40 yards behind.

They go into the trail system and as I head off to the other end of the trail, a Trooper in a vehicle drives down our property. I let him know where the trail comes out and he heads there just as the other two troopers come out with the POS tweaker.

Seems he was speeding past a Trooper with a client who radioed to another WSP up the road a mile. Got him going 90 mph, and accelerating. A GHSO deputy heard what was going on, closed the hwy and he headed through McCleary. Another Deputy was by the VFW hall, tossed out some spike strips and got two tires. The guy went a mile and one of the WSP guys spun him into my ditch. Of course, he had MULTIPLE WARRANTS.

..and people wonder why I carry a gun, which was on my side at the time.

The WSP, GHSO and McCleary PD were all at the house. Wasn't my fault, this time.

The dumbass should have saved himself the trouble when he came upon you and just dropped to his knees. Don't know that I'd run from a dude packing a visible sidearm......but then I guess that's why he's a dumbass!

Not quite the police chase up the Kalama River Road of a few years ago, but we have our moments.

It is nice to be on a first name basis with most of the LEO in the area.

I gotta see if I got any pictures off of the trail cameras. The Troopers got a kick out of those.

I'll have to add a handgun to my list of electrical tools. Might come in handy for knocking out those knockouts in the service panel in case no tweakers happen by. Speaking of, 3 such came by the wrecked house next to my construction site today while I was out there. Didn't recognize the car, but they looked like the same 3 I saw a while back. It's unfortunate that I'm not allowed to improve society by dusting their useless asses and burying them down in the bog with your backhoe. I'm trying to figure out how to improve the neighborhood, but all the effective options are illegal.

Imagine for a moment that an average neighborhood, one that has a few seedier sorts, bit by bit just keeps getting better and becoming like Mayberry. And all because one quiet inconsequential neighbor has been silently whacking the ne'erdowells and burying them down by the swamp. Something like this has probably been on TV already.

That was a good movie. Slippery slope all right, but the little ratf@#$er has been back again. I'm missing two air compressor hoses and am clueless to explain how he's getting in there now. It seems like he likes the challenge. Can't get him on the trail camera. I put it in a new place today, but I won't be surprised at some point to find that he's discovered it and broken apart whatever he needs to so as to steal it too. I wish I had so little to do with my time to do a stake out. Investing all that time to catch him, I'd sure as heck kill him.
