Hey Nanook....
I checked out the link to your ship. A bit bigger than the one I was on.
Another member of the Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club and the Brownwater Navy here. I was part of the recommissioning crew and an RD3 on the USS Carronade IFS-1 from '65 - '67. With 8 rocket launchers, 2 twin 40s and a 5' 38, the Carronade had a lot of fire power for it's size.
As the ship only had 12 ft. draft, we could get in close to shore in support of the ground forces, primarily Marines, that came under attack.

We carried Recon's and Seal Team's so I know what you guys did. Except for maybe the times hitting the beach in Mike Boat's our stuff was a cakewalk compared to yours.
