I couldn't resist temptation, so I fished another beach Tuesday night.
Lots of sand lance and chum fry were trapped between a rip and the beach, and good numbers of smallish cutts were pounding on them.
Bigger fish showed up in the rip just before dark -- but so did a seal.
It's was still a fun 90 minutes.

ChuckS: Fishing is fishing is fishing.... It doesn't matter what gear you use, as long as you treasure the fish, follow the rules and pick up after yourself. And we can all learn from one another. One of my favorite steelhead flies is a near-carbon copy of a steelhead jig I saw in the store.
