Thinking through to fall fisheries on the Skagit and wondering if anybody could recommend a good shuttle service around the Marblemount/ Steelhead park section of the river?

Found 1 guy online:

Call Larry at 360-333-7028...very reliable, and a very nice guy. He's in Rockport.

Fish on...

I hitchhike up there for shuttles. Never had any problems or had more than about 3 or 4 cars pass me.

I've never been picked up by a goat.

But I'm still optimistic.

If I saw you hitchhiking I'd either swerve to the other side of the road to get as far from you as possible...or swerve hard the other way smile

Hitchhiking has worked for me up there, too, as there are lots of fishermen driving around up there all the time...

Larry's only $20, too, and that's a pretty good deal for a shuttle. The gas would cost me $10 just to drive around and do it myself as it is, and it sure is a pleasure to get to the takeout and find your rig and trailer there waiting for you.

Fish on...

after seeing that port-a-potty at Marblemount I am skeptical about hitch hiking... either some disgruntled locals or one mean grizzly bear!

$20.00 is a great deal !

Good to know that there is a turn around service on the Sauk ,Todd. Do you know if he will do them on weekdays?

Ok I see we are trying to be serious here. Agree that Larry is the man. I've used him 4 times I think this last month and he always answers his phone and the rig is where it's supposed to be at the end of the drift.

He does them 7 days per week...he's retired and on a fixed income, so the extra coin does him good. I usually give him $30 smile

If you hitch hike carry a rod and waders. You will get picked up real quick.

I usually just ride my bike...or tell Kaiser that today could be the day a Skagit/Sauk local makes him their beeatch, and he usually jumps on the hitch hiking opportunity.

What up, T-Rip, as they say. Not since last weekend. Did Aaron send you that photo in response to your little (g)love note? Got me that spoon fish, felt good, although it was small.

Chrome demon and Seastrike, yup, that Portapotty imploded from snow weight earlier in the year. I was up there collecting skunks earlier in the year and saw it right after it happened. There was A LOT of snow there this year.

Curt likes me to hitchhike so he has time to hump a nutria. He says they are like goats except more "passionate".
