Well, it has been a long cool winter. Spring came late, and got interupted by winter a few times. Seems though, spring is actually here now to stay. Thought I'd show ya some signs that Spring has sprung and is here to stay for a bit.

Spring is the time for new things, new leaves on trees, plants budding out, new crops in the garden, spring flings. Here is something new.

The brand new Rivtech driftboat. Here it is, notice the crowd it has attracted.

I got lucky enough to fish out of this Rivtech driftboat with the Legend that is Stam, and Mr. Ripples himself, the spoon legend, Mr. Todd Ripley. And what did I find while fishing out of that sweet boat????

This.

A sweet spring time fish to go along with the sweet boat. That boat rows like a dream, skates across the water, super easy row, and looks good too.

Ya know it is spring when ya got baseball back in full swing. Different year, same coach, assortment of kids, same result... 6 and 0, off to a good start.

My kid, waiting to run from first base.

The butts come out in the spring.

NO, not that kind, this kind.

Here's a little chicken.

Tom showing off his new boat from Three Rivers, the 20 footer with the off-shore bracket, well, it's been producing the fish for sure.

I think he's liking his new boat.

Halibut fishing has been good. Actually real good. "Rumors" of a monster caught fairly locally abound, and it is known that it is a not a "rumor", but the dude needs no fame and glory as he hasn't blabbed it to the paper or nothing cuz he doesn't want 1000 boats where he fishes. But there are some big fish to be had for sure.

Back to the chrome. Nothing says spring to many of us more than big steelies.

Dang it, there's that sweet boat again with that sweet fish, too bad that dude is suck a dork.

Summerrun with a chic fish

Here is the Fishnfool. He likeS his fish just like he likes his women, Big, Ugly, kind of with a slight male looking face, and good fighters.

Me with a sweet one.

Ya get some nice views in the spring.

Trolling for lingers.

With good results.

3 decent lings and a very nice rock cod.

Here the hootchie formerly know as the Bush Pt special for steelhead, well it is now know as the tuna bush special for lings.

Jennifer fighting one.

DON'T REPLY YET, MORE TO COME IN A MINUTE.

Back to the post....

Many new products get introduced in the spring. Here is a really cool and efficient new product most of you fishermen will like. Especially you fly flickers.

The all new English Pete fish bonker. One blow to the head and this fish bonker will produce enough blood to justify killing any fish, anywhere, anytime.

Couple of chicken halibut fillets always get me excited for dinner.

I saw Seastrike as he's known on other people's boats, not Seastuck, out on the water catching fish.

Ahhhhh....the Ace-Hi fly with the spin-n-glo in front of it, it's a ling slaying machine.

28" and fat, a perfect fish.

This little releaser liked the Ace-Hi without the spin-n-glo.

Everyday ends good when it starts out working the pot puller for shrimp.

Shrimp...it's what is good.

Spring is the time when the grills come out and start to cook regularly again, and with that comes a lot of good food.

Here is food from a dudes house down on the beach who had an after shrimping barb-b-Q. Sturgeon, steak, and potato salad, kinda a springy thing.

More good food.

Ling, shrimp, potatoes, broccoli, hmm.. love it. My belly has been consuming some good lately.

The dudes from Rivtech driftboats grilling up some good eats, if ya like meat that is, no vegitarians allowed.

Beer, meat, fish stories, not much can get better than that, well, maybe a couple nice women would help, of course that includes the wifey.

I see a couple of legends in this pic digging in.

The Green Egg grill cooking it up.

and here are the goods.

OH, ROBBO, JIMMY SAYS HI AND TO TELL YA HE'LL BE BY A LITTLE LATER.

Spring is good.

A little clever marketing and the English Pete Fish Bonker could be your ticket..mebbe get ripples to add it to the rivrfsher line, or billy mays to huckster it on late night teevee.

For a self proclaimed "dork"..you don't seem all that dorky to me.

...must be spring.

Richard,
Randy & I are very appreciative of you guys taking the time out of the busy Nates season to row the RivTech boat & provide him with valuable feedback and photos. Stam did a great job with the photo of your nice Buck ! The barbecue turned out great and Randy was very happy to get an opportunity to meet the group at the HM fish camp.

Looks like the Halibut, lings & Shrimp dinner was off the charts. Well done !
Randy & I would welcome an opportunity get all of you guys out in the RivTech boat again.
Looking forward to the Camano RivTech clam fest this summer.

Thanks again-
Darin

Cleanin' up for that RivTech photo op, Ripley? Geez, for a moment there it looked like you finally took a razor to tame all that funk on your face.... for an instant I even thought maybe it was Sparkey posin' than platinum hen.

But then I noticed you just wrapped the whole gangly mess in an elastic band.

BTW, nice fish T-Rip.

And Rico, you sure get around to see some fishy-a$$ places. Must be fun bein' you! Thanks for the pic parade! beer
