I just picked up a 9'6" 6-10 spinner for a song. I really like the feel of it, for those of you that have one, how do you like it? I like the rubberized hand grip/reel seat, it seems pretty sweet- Also, craftsmanship seems above par as well.

I've used six different XMG's, and they're the best rods I've ever fished...including the big stash of Loomis rods I *used* to have.
Go with the cork handles, in my opinion, unless you stick them in rodholders a lot, in which case the graphite handles will prolong the life of your rods considerably.
Fish on...

i've got a 9'6 8-15 casting with cork handles, and a 9'6 6-10 casting rod that i built. some of the best blanks on the market. lots of power for their weight and diameter.

Have the EXS 96L - 9'6" 6-10 spin just like you and just picked up a 9'2" 8-15 casting. I like the graphite handles - better sensitivity. I think they are the best rod on the market for the price right now. In terms of sensitivity...they are right up there with the IMX and the titanium rods. In terms of overall balance and feel...there are none better. No more tip-heavy 9 footers...both these rods balance right at the reel seat. These are my first two Lamis...I may be a Lami convert after fishing with these XMG50's. Had to sell a couple of Loomis rods to pay for these, but no regrets.

Sweet Guys, Thanks for the replies. I didnt need much justification for picking up another rod, and for 150 bones it seemed like a lot of rod for the money. Now Im really stoked to fish it! Compared to my gl3's the craftmanship and guides seem way better.

FC, if you got an XMG for 150 bucks, then you got a steal...you'll love the rod.
