agree on the apexes, never had any luck on them in Puget Sound but they work great off the west coast of Vancouver Island. Makes no sense to me since they are the same runs of fish.

the old stand by, green/white coho killer
new stand by, purple haze hoochie behind a purple haze uv flasher
secret weapons, ace hi behind a uv flasher with a red stripe and a uv coho killer in white with the white (i think its called plaid) uv flasher.

All of the above smeared with some sort of stinky stuff you can't get off your hands before you get home.

Tough to outgun the Hoonah Slow Roll, with the toothpick retaining the subtle bend. A broken tail don't seem to hurt.

I used to use a Rhys Davis helmet, but went to a FBR. Is that a lure?

Other than that, I troll the 3.5 version old school Coyote spoons in the Wonder Bread and glow/green. Recently converted to the Tomic 3.5 glow 603 or glow 530 to get a better paint job and better hooks than the newer versions of the LJ .
Next year I'll certainly be trying out some of the Tomic, glow 512 spoons come blackmouth.

We used to troll a cutplug stick of non-salted butter on a triple hook set up with a toothpick in the front to hold it... Make sure to keep the the stick-o-butter on ice prior to fishing, the bait has it's best results in water temps around 50 degrees so the meltoff isn't too quick.

When they bite it, make sure to let them take it good. Once they get the mouthful of butter you don't want to set the hook too soon as the hooks could slip out of their mouth...

Killer bait, really.......

Yep-My favorite is what worked yesterday but they don't allways last very long. If I see bait and aint getting bites I switch real quick!

If I could only carry three-

Green label herring
Green glow/white 3.5" Coyote spoon
Gold Star # 142R squid/candle fish with a twinkle skirt inside.
