First, I know its not a fish. After waiting for what seems liked forever, my blacktail is finally home. This is the first buck I felt warranted a mounting, and was the biggest I ever shot. I am pretty happy with the job. I went with a semi sneak, turned to the left to show off the non typical stuff on the front right forks. Here are a few pictures to enjoy.

I've only ever encountered one that big in my hunting career. No shot.....he just sat 20 yards down the hillside concealed in the brush, let me walk by and then tip-toed back out behind me in the opposite direction. I turned at the snap of a twig only to see ass and antlers dissappear about 2 seconds later.

Now I know how the big boys get to be that size.
