here we have the perfect saltwater rig for the northwest. a 27' bayliner trophy. 1986. has hard top with alaska bulkhead. 4 cyl volvo and penta outdrive. huge deck. set up for fishing. has v berth, and another bunk. tons of storage. radar. depth sounder. vhf. a double axle trailer in great shape(rebuilt 4 yrs ago.) with electric wench. A 27' boat with a 4cyl engine? Will that thing even get on plane?

my dad did some modifications to the engine. he is good at that. the boat will do about 17 cruise and 22 to 24 top. the shape of the hull doesn't really lend itself to quick planing. it has a 1 foot keel, and the bow is so sharp. it is awesome in rough water though. you'd have to see it to understand. the hull is nothing like the current trophies.
