I have been a long time lurker but this my first post. I have been able to get a large amount of non native caught sockeye eggs from the boat I have been fishing from. I was wondering if anyone would be interested. The permit owner of the boat markets all of his own fish so I don't think selling the eggs would be any problem. If I am wrong please let me know. I will also be able to get king and chum eggs in the near future when they become available. Like I said these fish are marketed by us, so we have an excess of eggs that are going to waste if nobody buys them. Please email me with your questions. I was thinking something like 6 dollars a pound un cured. Currently I have around 40 pounds. Thanks SWJ

Currently the eggs are fresh, in a bucket on ice, still in the back of the boat. The eggs I have now are in really good shape, but I realize that people might not be able to get them all before they go bad so I will try to cure them. What I would really like to do is get some kind of and idea of what sort of a demand there would be for fresh, uncured eggs. Once I know that, the next opening I can get the right amount of eggs and get them ready for pick up. SWJ

I was thinking 6 dollars a pound, but email me and we can discuss how many pounds you would need. If it was alot, we could meet half way. I will have them tuesday.

I assume these are Frazier fish.
Either way to those that are buying, CONGRATULATIONS, you are supporting and helping to keep viable COMMERCIAL fishing. Think about it. There are others you can purchase eggs from that sell excess hatchery eggs. Plus, I believe in WA you must be licensed to sell eggs, which makes this whole thread an illegal activity, if not morally.

These are Fraser River sockeye eggs, and we do have a wholesale buyers license, my partner sells all of his own fish, so the "eggs" are just part of the fish we are selling. The only thing to make sure of is that if you do buy these eggs, you can only re-sell these eggs with a wholesale buyers license as well.
I would rather have these eggs go to good use rather than being thrown away.
As for fresh eggs, I will have as much as anyone needs tomorrow morning. Thanks SWJ
