"Former Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge says pressure from fellow Cabinet members to raise the nation's terror alert level just before the 2004 presidential election helped convince him it was time to quit working for President George W. Bush."
Gee, raise the alert for political purposes...what a shock.

He did. Bush won which was a win for Bin Laden. Really? How do ya figure? I'd say since Bush not only ignored Bin Laden once he had used him to get after Hussein and Iraq, but even came right out and said he didn't care where Bin Laden was, having Bush there was good for Bin Laden. One of the first things Obama did was actually fight the war on Terrah by getting after it in Afghanistan. Remember Afghanistan? The Taliban? The ones who attacked us on 9/11? Fish on... Todd

Was he killed, captured or stopped? Nope. He's still in power supposedly which is more than we can say, or maybe ever could say, about Bush.

Killed or captured no. Stopped??? I haven't heard about any Al Quaeda attacks on American soil since 9/11. Unless you count the guy who went to Yemin to train in an Al Quada terrorist camp then came back and shot up a couple of soldiers outside a recruiting office as an Al Queda attack. Then again that happened on Obama's watch.
To say Bush being elected was good for Bin Laden is at the very best a stretch. Would John Kerry have done a better job of killing, capturing, or stopping Bin Laden? I doubt it. In fact I doubt Kerry would have even been able to make up his mind about it.

"I haven't heard about any Al Quaeda attacks on American soil since 9/11."
So by your own measure Clinton did a bang up job. He stopped additional Al Quaeda attacks on American soil throughout his presidency since 1993. Right? In fact we could now use Hankster logic and completely blame Bush for allowing it to happen on his watch while Clinton had made us all nice and safe before. Which is it guys?
Bush was good for Bin Laden because he was a poster child for Al Quaeda recruitment and kept Bin Laden in the news whenever he needed to while "not concerned about him" at other times. Plus he was a numbskull. Which enemy wouldn't love to have a numbskull for POTUS?

"But if your gauge includes attacks on American lives and property you're off the mark by a ton. "
Add em up and compare them to Iraq and Afghanistan. What's your gauge say now?

Problem is... the terrorist attacks against Americans abroad started way before Clinton ever got into office. If memory serves... 242 Marines were killed in Beirut, Lebanon in 1984, when their barracks was bombed. I believe the president at that time received a LOT of warning that this might happen... and yet he did nothing also. After the attack, we just left.
What was that president's name again?

I don't know, but with that resume, I'd guess he was a black man not born in the US of A...probably a Muslim...and not just a Muslim, but a Muslim who endorses death panels... Hang on...my phone is ringing... Really? Never mind. Fish on... Todd

Ask Diebold who sold the election...
Then ask Haliburton if they benefitted from terror "allerts"...
The real one getting "sold" is you...
