Wasn't my 4 wheeler, but the unexpected help sure was a blessing.

Dooooooooooooooood,
That thing is a flat out pig. I can't wait to see the rack sometime.
6 days north of Spokane netted zero elk sighted for us. We got a couple bugles back, but never closed enough ground to put eyes on any.
I'm just a little bummed that you killed it with the SOCOM. I was kind of hoping to christen it as far as elk were concerned...... ;-)

Next time you are in the area Dan, stop by and we'll let you light off a few rounds after we step across the property line, out of the city limits.
Ryan has an any deer tag for tomorrow, so we'll hope he gets one with the 6.8 SPC, another AR-15 variant.

Congrats Andy! What an awesome Bull! Thanks to Seastrike, I got to sample some of your elk meat that you shared with him. It was my first time tasting elk meat and it was just like lean beef, not gamie and it was very good. I've always wondered how elk meat would taste and I'm sold. Therefore, I plan on becoming a new elk hunter starting next year. I'll need to do a lots of research and study to become a successful elk hunter of course... I may have to ask you few tips on elk hunting in the future.
