Asked once before, and thought I'd try again. Have nothing to do around the house, and want a woodboat project to restore. Not looking for a kit. Plus, don't have alot of cash anyways. So figured some of you out there may know of someone who has one free to give away or cheap that they just want to unload. Want something that I can just work on at the house. Don't have alot to spend, so cheaper the better. Doesn't need to be pretty. But looking for one around 16'.

Any leads would greatly be appreciated.

There is one on ebay for opening bid of $1.00

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3638204572&category=384

Here is the discription. I would hang out until 5 minutes before it ends and see if you could nail it for a song. Its in Portland .

15’ Rapid Roberts Style Drift Boat with Trailer I got this boat on a trade and now it is up for auction. It is all wood with a wood sacrificial bottom. It has Oregon hull numbers because it can be fitted with a motor. It comes with three oars (one of them was repaired), two swivel seats, an anchor and rope, three minimum life jackets, and the trailer. The boat has a title from the Oregon Marine Board. On the title, under manufacture is says “homemade”. I never had it in the water. But, living in Portland, water has been in it. There is no claim to the sea worthiness of this boat – stated or implied. This boat needs maintenance and should be considered a minor project for some one with the time and energy. The previous owner used some kind of varnish on the inside. When I got it, the varnish was peeling and flaking off really bad. So, I pulled everything out of it and was on my way to restoring it when my wife realized that I don’t have the time for it. The boat comes as is – meaning everything is still removed from it; seats, bullwork, etc. Shipping (is that a pun) is the sole responsibility of the buyer. The boat is on a trailer, so you will need to come and tow it away. There is no reserve, so have at it. And this is my first time selling on ebay, so please go easy on me.
