Swine flu.... Anyone else had it? I've been in bed for the last 4 days with a burning chest/cough, fever of 100-104, and splitting headache. Much better now, but still feel like a 90 year old. Taking my wife to the doctor now because it's in her lungs worse than I had.
I'm very thankful that the kids both had vaccinations and are currently avoiding it! This would not be a good thing for them.

i got it 2 weeks ago. let me tell you this. it totally ZAPS you strength and reserves. it takes a solid week to recoup from the drain of power. i missed 3 days of work plus the weekend. went back to work on the following monday. it was bruttal!!! 8 hrs with zero energy to do anything. get as much sleep/rest as you can and try to recharge your battery cells.

My brother in law had it a couple weeks ago. He said he wouldn't wish it on his worst enemy. Get well !

When I feel better I'm going to go over and let the air out of his tires and scratch my nuts with his tooth brush..

There's a pharmacy up in the Laurelhurst (rich) neighborhood and seems to get a shipment in every week or so and the lines of people waiting to get their shot is un-freakin-belieable!

Our country is flat out SCREWED if a real bad and fatal flu ever happens.

Got the whole fam damily taken care of this week. We all got either the shot or the nasal spray. I got the seasonal flu shot, too, but everyone else passed on that.

Whole fam is going in tomorrow for the shots. The kid's Ped. is letting the wife and I get them at the same time as the kids.

personally brewer feels you guys should just man up and lock horns with H1N1 flu bug. i did and am proud of it!

Chuck, Thanks for your concern. I just edited the link in the original post since it had been changed since I viewed the video. We've been monitoring the condition of our young friend for over three weeks now. His doctors have described him as the sickest patient in the hospital. The video link details almost exactly the symptoms and the seriousness of what he's going through, with the exception of the ECMO procedure. Take care everyone.

There were no pre-existing conditions. His wife and two year old daughter had flu symptoms but recovered. He drove himself to the emergency room when his flu took a turn for the worse. He has been in the Intensive Care Unit ever since. Thanks.

Oddly enough last Friday my daughter came down with a fever of 104º. She said she felt yucky so we took her temperature. Strangest thing was the temp stayed in the 102º to 104º range until Monday morning. No other symptoms showed up. Not even a runny nose. She's all fine now.

Chances are it was swine...about 80% of flu cases this time year are swine. Other stains of flu don't typically hit until after the new year.

yes it's a very strange flu. i had a 102 temp and actually seemed fine. no sore throat, cough, or the runny nose stuff... just completely drained of all energies. whats strage is that my 2 boys micro and macrobrews have zero flu bugs yet.
