Going to Hawaii the end of Feb for my step-daughter's wedding. Anyone have recommendations for good places to stay. We're more the private beach-side bungalow type rather than the 20 story hotel.

Also, any recommendations for beach fishing there?

Any beach fishing around there? When is the good time of year for chartering for Tuna or Marlin?

I've caught big Ahi there in June. There are flats to fish all around the island. Some bonefish, although not many.... I found decent flyfishing for reef fish with a 6 or 8 wt. The link below is to a guy named Coach Duff. He's actually a local to the Seattle area, and although I've never booked a trip with him, he has always been great to talk to. It would help break the learning curve over there tremendously to book a day or two. Jealous!

We stayed here http://www.vrbo.com/141786 up in Makaha. Not much up there not even any restaurants but the beach was awesome and it was nice and quiet. Didn't do any fishing but there were people fishing off the rocks on each end of the beach area.
