I know some of you went out to cut down and decorate your Christmas tree after thanksgiving dinner was over...

Ummm... so did we... but I think we will need a little bit of glue to put it back together...

It will probably take all winter to get this baby cut, split and stacked for next years firewood...

Lacking a little hinge wood was it?

Looks dead enough to burn this year.

Pretty good placement, but a little left...and you forgot your safety goggles smile

nice Vid.

I put up about 3 cords over the last few days from a tree of similar size. I'm done with wood for a while. Moving fresh Fir rounds onto a splitter that are 18-24" thick and 48" in diameter ain't a walk in the park eek

Around here, it's called womens work. grin Hubby fells it, cuts it and hauls it to me, while I do all the splitting and we stack it together. Teamwork!

I split it in the upright position so all I have to do is roll it into place and tip it up. Work smarter Skyguy, not harder!

I wasn't lifting these onto a splitter, I was rolling and flipping them into place as well. Maybe you should look at the dimensions I'm talking about, then go try to move around a round that size, then report back. smile

First of all Big Stick never cut down any little trees...

Secondly, he doesn't use a splitter or even an axe... he breaks it apart with his bare hands...
