Chuck, Not sure the hawks mortgaged way to much on Flynn. His guarantee is only 2 mil more than what we paid Whitehurst or Jackson. So if we cut him after 2 years we didn't pay that much more than we did for the last 2 QBs and I think Flynn actually has more upside than either of those 2.

uspide? he is pissing and moaning about tendonitis... and didnt play... Jackson played with a torn peck which is FAR more painfull... plus Jackson didnt do that bad last season, he was .500, threw for over 3000 yards, more TDs than INTs, and that was with a shotty line, and a bunch of hurt players...
personally, Flynn never should have came here in the first place IMO... now we have to eat it...

RH do you actually watch football? Look at Jackson's career stats: TD:38 INT: 35. There is no upside for a QB that has 6 years in the league and has only 3 more TDs than INT. Right last year he threw more TDs than INT but with out posting the numbers it sounds good but when you tell people it was 14 TDs and 13 INTs then that stat no longer looks like it is worth noting. So it is easy to say that Flynn has more upside (since we really haven't seen him play) than Jackson since we have 6 years of history to look at, which is exactly why he is sitting on the bench.
And as far as Flynn no playing last night, once again learn something about football and try to imagine the difference between preseason and the regular season. Do you honestly think a QB would sit out with Tendonitis during the regular season, just like do you think Jackson would have played in the preseason with a torn peck?

I have to agree with this, given what TJ had to work with while playing injured he didn't do bad IMHO. Doubt any of the big names, Brady, Peyton, Brees, Rodgers etc. would have taken the Hawks any further last year under the same circumstances, just my $.02 worth.

Preseason doesn't equate to success. Having a few good games with the Packer WR'ing core does not equate to be a good QB. Jackson was a horrible pick up. I said that when all of the Seahawk faithful were rejoicing. When Favre was hurt they skipped Jackson and went to the 3rd string QB. Eventhough there is still a lot of hate on TO, the guy still has the break away speed to beat people, as seen in his dropped pass play. I still think he is better than Braylon "one good year in the league" Edwards. I will admit I am very disappointed in Petie Carroll. He did great at USC illegally paying his players. I figured he would continue that success while being able to pay his players. Oh well

Seattle Seahawks Cut Veteran WR Terrell Owens @terrellowens I'm no longer a Seahawk. I THANK the organization 4 the opportunity, I'm truly blessed beyond belief. My FAITH is intact & will NOT waiver. Maybe T.O. can get a tryout with the Sacramento Mountain Lions. They could use a WR with breakaway speed and iron hands.

I would rather us cut him now vice wait until week 5. He was/is a tenured veteran which means if he would have been on the team after the first game his entire salary for the year would have guaranteed.

Looks like Willis would fit into the Saints head hunting schemes of Greg Williams.

Except he does it for the love of doing it..no extra money required.

If you get Sports Illustrated, Peter King is predicting the Niners will go 11-5, get a 1st round bye and lose to the Aints in the playoffs. The Fawks will have a winning record at 9-7..the Broncs meet the Pack in the SB and lose. I have NEVER seen a prediction from SI (Peter King) that was anywhere close..so take it any way you like. There's also an article in there 'Justin Smith: American Bada$$'.

I know all of you Fawksfans will want to join me in congratulating Jim and Sarah Harbaugh for the recent addition to their family. Jack Harbaugh was born Sept. 4th and came in @ 8 lbs 8 oz, 21". It's worth noting that nine months ago to the day (December 4th), the 49ers clinched the NFC West. Also worth noting (maybe) is young Jack was born on the 4th day of the 9th month..a true Forty Niner.
