Well i just got my laptop back. It was confiscated after a big cell block fight. So I read the locked thread on the other forum. Toughskins were mentioned several times. I too wore those Sears jeans. They were fine in the younger years. My Foster parents would only buy those. I remember the first day of 7th grade wearing the Toughskins, red. The verbal razzing I took was bruttal from the cooler kids. I recall telling my Foster Parent's that I would never wear them ever again. Well my Foster Dad answered back with swift backhand to the my head. Also reffered to in our Foster House as a slap down! Well it got worst cause I hit a groth spirt that school year. By spring break the T.S. were 4" to short.

Anyways that's my story of wearing the T.Skins.

My Foster parent's were to cheap to buy the Trax shoes. They would go yard saling buy my shoes there.

Coho no I was bounced around alot in my younger years. Finally got placed with Foster parents. As much as my Foster parents beat me down i still love them to this day.

I was forced to wear toughskins too. The social rammifications were unbearable. Jr High kids are kind in these matters.

Toughskins here too....plaid to boot. I wore a pair of Wild Rose jeans (neighbors hand me downs) once till I realized that they were girls jeans..the same thing happened with Jordache jeans. Those were a couple of tough days in school.

JCPs all my youth until the latter part of high school, then Levi 501 ($6 a pair in those days) until college then mixed in the occasional bell bottoms to round out my hippie outfit. My Afro was the real kicker tho.

Brewer---The two pairs of chick jeans were in the same bag....I wore them one after the other (consecutive days) and then wouldn't wear another GD thing that came in that bag.

PS----In the ineterest of fair disclosure I did claim a pair of carpenter jeans outa' that phuggin bag....they fit me great and came with a built in holster.

PSS-----I don't wanna' talk about it any more......grin

Row, brewer repects your self confidence and swagger to admit the chick jeans. i to would recieve a paper sack full of jeans and stuffs. i would always presort the stuff insure a femme sorta thing not happen to me. the big difference from you and kaykay is he would have continued wearing the chick jeans. kaykay would have used his coveted ronco stud popper and added some nice shiny popins to the back pockets.

what brand of jeans did KMart sell in the late '70's? my favorite pair were green with a matching green tshirt that had 'Atlanta Rythym Section' and a half-human half-tape machine picture 'person' jamming on guitar. Some other people on this site still love the green had some really sharp red jeans as well
