Anyone else used to wake up at 7AM Saturday morning to watch that cartoon?

I used to sneak down wrapped in a quilt, fix a bowl of Lucky Charms, and watch it religiously every Saturday morning.

Well, I just got word...

Ah, fvck it, I'll let you see for yourselves:

normally, when i go away from the board for a few days, something terrible or disasterous happens on the board. thankfully, all is well upon my return grin

i never saw that show Irie, but there were always a few japanese sci-fi shows around back in the day.

I think we're getting a little burned out on the "old cartoons into movies" trend. Transformers was a little overrated and GI Joe was terrible. I understand your excitement tho, and quite frankly would feel the same way if it were a Rainbow Bright movie in the works...

It's true, they are running that trend into the ground, but I'm hopeful that this movie WON'T suck because:

1) It's not being made by Hollywood
and
2) It's not being made in Hollywood

So right there, it has a pretty good chance of:

1) Not sucking big sweaty elephant balls like Hank does
and
2) Actually being decent and cool, unlike Hank.

Judging by the costumes and sets it looks like it being kept true to the original, which they didn't even come close to doing with Transformers (a 2 hr Chevy Commercial) and GI Joe (another CGI crapfest).

laugh

PS I never saw GI Joe, because I didn't want it ruined for me like that gay suck-ass POS Transformers did. I figured it'd be like making an A-Team movie with Nicolas Cage as Hannibal, Keanu Reeves as Face, Puff Daddy as BA, and that douche from Star Wars that played Anakin Skywalker as Murdoch. I just wouldn't go.

Same. Watched it beginning to end.

I Netflixed a few episodes for my daughter and she loved it.

Hope your Chickenwing's doing better.
