About a 14-15lb girl who couldn't resist a yarn ball...hopefully there is more to come and we don't see the closure like the Skagit. I was hopin it was a chum until we got it to the boat and didn't see any bars...damn. Pics coming in minutes...

Nice work John! She's perfect... and I bet she was fun on a 1141.

Just a friendly pointer on the photo's. Try to remember to almost ALWAYS use a fill flash, even in the sun, to brighten up the shadowy spots and let the camera up the shutter speed for better exposure and sharpness. this is especially important with point and shoots.
They are all good pics, but that last one could be great with a little fill light.

Looks like you exercised care in handling her properly as well.

Have fun out there,
Ryley

Absolutely gorgeous? Hell yes.

14-15lb? Hell no. Maybe that is why so many people are catching 20's?

I'm not trying to diss the fish because, believe me, having not fished for natives this year yet, I'm super jealous. That dorsal is perfection. I'm just saying that 14 to 15 generally looks bigger than that. Awesome job on the CnR!

Damn pretty fish RC- nice to see one come from the Sky this year.

Sky - thanks for posting the tip on filler flash.
Makes sense, with all the variances in lighting and often dark conditions, to just set it and forget it on your fish camera.

No problem. I should add why. Point and shoots tend to pick the brightest spot in-frame and adjust the exposure level to that amount of light. Like in the case of the third picture, the fish and background are bright, but his face and coat etc.... all dark. The camera picked out the background light on the water and auto-adjusted exposure to that amount of light, making his face, coat, and the fish a bit darker. A fill flash would have eliminated all of those variables and added a little bling to the fish as well.
