The crab, John, the crab (if you can get their little legs out of the way). (Been a long winter already out there???)

It is the recent history of more and more picky regs then LE tasked to make a show so write up a bunch of pissy violations and then publicize the horrendous extent of non-compliance without full disclosure of what the violations actually were.

Is my persecution complex showing? And, yes, it does tend to take the fun out of being on the water. (And, no, I am not excusing violations such as over limit, keeping females, or clearly undersized crab (if I rely on a commercial measuring device and a crab is legal on that basis a measurement to the contrary by LE should result in confiscating the device and not a ticket).

Do Recommendation 12? Hmmm, interesting how this report did not come out until AFTER the 2010-2012 reg changes have been fully reviewed and commented upon. First my persecution complex is exposed and now my conspiracy theory is showing.

Hey Larry, when I download the report, I get a PDF that's blank(Mac user w/current Adobe software).....would love to read it...not sure what the problem is, but maybe you/someone, could email it to me?....For that matter, anything that has anything to do with the issue, I'd love to read....sincerely Tom

Sorry Speyguy, no can do. The document has a security lock on it so it cannot be copied. Guess that is to keep anyone from performing unauthorized editing.

Larry, I had no trouble simply copying and saving it to my computer. Simply downloaded it, "select all", "save as"
Can now easily be sent where ever.

I went to the SAO Website (and I washed my hands afterwards!!!), clicked on the link, the Audit (their word not mine) came up as a PDF, I clicked the "Save" icon, ad I saved a copy to my hard drive. Just to verify, I went into IE, found the file, and clicked on it, and it came up OK in adobe.

And I puked again.

I was able to save the report to my hard drive but still am unable to put it into an e-mail to Spey Guy. I would like to believe it is because of the security lock rather than my ineptitude.......

Looks like the commercials exceeded their allocation in 2E (approx MA 8-2) and it is now closed.

Also, as of this morning the audit report on the Delayed Release Chinook program has not been issued. Will be checking to see if that report addresses propriety of funds expenditures.

I'm on a Mac and had no problem downloading or saving it. It printed very slow on my new printer though.

Hey, thanks so much for sending that to me, and I hope it wasn't much of a hassle. When I got it(1.9mb) it was still a blank page, so I did some digging, and realized that when recently reloaded some older Mac programs....they may have removed my reader/somehow it got removed.....anyway, just downloaded the new reader, and tested the first link....worked great, your attachment worked great...etc. Can't wait to read it....Thanks again...Sincerely Tom

The header " State and tribes follow best practices for protecting crab"......followed by the paragraph header below stating "Violations by some recreational Crabbers may jeopardize the fishery".....Hmmmm. Spin Doctors...wasn't that a band?

By the way, I noticed that the winter crab cards were to be responded by Jan 15. We didn't get a winter season this year, and mine seems to be missing from my license wallet(may have burned it the day I heard about the no season)....anyway, I haven't heard back on the email I sent to WDFW.....anyone have a guess if this would constitute a $10 fee?....food for thought. Tom

I only recieved a summer card and not a winter card, since I don't like the winter crabbing. I hope they knew what they were doing by giving me the option to not get a winter card. No number generated no foul I hope.

Yes, you're looking at a $10 administrative fee when you purchase your 2010 license. Sorry about that.

Lucky

Should be no problems for those who didn't get a winter CRC.
