Is it too much to hope that it was in fact, landed on an EXS96LL?

Pretty fish for sure! 34" is 14#'s, 35" is 15#'s..longer than that the "rule of thunb" can get hinkey. Way to go!!! A heck of alot shinier than the double red striped summer runs we're still catching in Central Wa!!!

No problem. I should add why. Point and shoots tend to pick the brightest spot in-frame and adjust the exposure level to that amount of light. Like in the case of the third picture, the fish and background are bright, but his face and coat etc.... all dark. The camera picked out the background light on the water and auto-adjusted exposure to that amount of light, making his face, coat, and the fish a bit darker. A fill flash would have eliminated all of those variables and added a little bling to the fish as well.
Cheese and rice Ryles...I can see you've been hangin' with Vedder. Excellent choice of rod for big wild steelhead. Load that baby up with 6 lb. main and 4 lb. leader and you are more than sporty! Very nice fish.... Ike

Very nice fish.... Ike Assume all you want...those rods with 30lb braid and 12lb leader tire out a fish rather quickly actually...but what do I know...I just did it on Monday...and the day before that...and every weekend since the start of humpy season....look at my spool of line in the pic...that is not mono...so nice stabb but you missed.

Gorgeous fish. Perfect really.
Gorgeous fish deserve top shelf treatment. A rubber net wouldn't be a bad investment.
