I'm aware that there are some that hated his guts when he was alive and others that still do after his death. However, I don't let that stop me from appreciating the quality of that speech.
Pure hate was at the core of his assassination.

Anyway, I posted it for those that could appreciate it. I figured it deserved just as much mention as the many threads about Sara Palin, Rush or Pat Robertson, etc.,..... MLK in the subject line should be a warning to those that don't like him, or don't care to hear him, or hear of him. Maybe I should have posted a warning that by clicking on, you may get angry. And that anger could trigger the subconscious, resulting in one grabbing a sheet and one of many guns in order to target practice in a mock assassination on a stuffed replica of MLK. Racism is a disease, and I hope is not contagious..... or is it?

I hope that answers your "So" question. If not, maybe you or someone else can chime in with a better answer to your "SO"?.

It's my opinion that MLK is rolling over in his grave considering the quote from the "I have a dream speech" that people would be judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Having been an 18 year-old serving in the Marine Corps in Memphis when he was assassinated gave me a closer look at what was going on back in 1968. For example, seeing signs that told certain people could not stay in a town because they were not the right color or that they had to ride in the back of the bus and were not given equal opportunities in a hiring or promotional process. There were many more issues that needed to be changed.

Recent reverse discrimination Supreme Court rulings however have favored people that have achieved their standing by hard work and personal performance not by the color of their skin. These decisions support what MLK said in his speech and is the right thing to do.

Just my .02 worth.
