Had quite the 4 day OP excursion, started of w/ a 1/2 day on the bogie scouting/banking it.

Moved on to the major leagues Friday w/ TRBO. Had "THAT DAY" we all all hope for.

Twenty some fish hooked, many landed, some lost. We 3 tried to keep score, but after awhile its just a blur.......

Size of fish were all over the map, from re-brite kelts to small wild fish, bigger wild fish, double striper bucks, chrome hens & then there's....

....Sam's fish........ thumbs

38.5 X 21 & clean as a whistle.

More to come, enjoy !!

Wow. That's a nice looking fish.

I'm going to be heading out to the OP tomorrow. Got any good advice for a guy that's going to be banking it?

There`s my boy, note how the adipose is clear looking? Definately a native fish and good job on the release as it looks like this one will live to see the gravel. Been wondering lately how many of these are truly native and not hatchery offspring?, ie the clear and smaller adipose. Any way, thats a dandy, if the dude holding it would have looked up when the pic was taken would have been a fishing moment of a lifetime for many, although I understand the reasons for not becoming famous on an internet board. Right on.
Saw one of those caught on Friday too in a different place. That guy did not handle the fish as well but at least he released it.
It gave me the opportunity to teach the boy how "not to do it". Guy was with a guide right behind us when it went down.
Nice job Sam and Bob!

Yeh, this dude is trying to be humble.... blush

It was quite the experience playing that caliber of a fish. We had a good time with Bob. Friday will be a memorable day for sure.

Thanks Bob.

A fun day for sure!!! Actually, quite a fun week!

Sadly ... but only for him ... Sam can't even take big fish honors of the week in my boat. This one had a couple of pounds on him:

Almost the same numbers today too smile

Hope it continues!!!

I'll try to get all the pix together and send them on Tuesday on my day off!

Looks like we are in for one heck of a winter season !

Gotta love the big January nates rolling in to get things started up on the spawning beds. With all the chrome bright hens we saw up close & personal on Friday they should be able to find some romance...

BTW, that dude looks totally shellshocked..... eek2

Love it.

Wow some great fish pix. I think that Bob's picture is the answer to the question of why Sam's not looking at the camera in Brad's picture. For what it's worth I'd have a goofy ass look if I was grippin either of those fish too! Good stuff,
