Can you please tell me if the below information is the same for the reel you are selling?

I don't have an 8 wt. rod yet, but plan to buy one sometime before next summer. Is this reel good for fishing silvers in the salt? I've heard good things about Ross reels on this board.

The specs you have on the reel are correct. It's a black anodized aluminum reel, so it should be fine for saltwater as long as you rinse it afterwards.

Where do you live B-tosser, I have two G-5's but could always use another. I will also vouch for the near invincibility of the Ross Gunnison series. Hundreds of steelies and coho and chum caught on one of mine, not one issue with drag, although I finally had the handle fall off last year, I had worked the screw loose over the years, and had neglected maintenence. I can't say enough about Ross quality.
