Got the OK from my wife to dissappear for the weekend late notice (Thursday) so I called up one of my good buddies and got him to come along...had a hell of a time trying to get anybody else to commit...Jody...you definitely missed out...so I starting calling some previous clients of mine and got a hold of MPM and he was down...got to Blue Creek at around 7:45am on Saturday and buzzed down a couple miles to our own camping bar...and this bar had two different meanings...the gravelly one and the liquid serving one. It took us a bit to get on the fish and MPM hooked up on our first fish about 11am but this fish wanted nothing to do with us...gone...kept working water further and further downstream and ended up finding em. By 4pm we were 4 for 7...then we headed back to camp and at around 11pm we hit a fish plunking with a Brad's Lighted Wiggler...talk about fun scrambling and stumbling to grab the jingling rod...scrappy little 6 pounder. Then woke up this morning and we ended up hitting two more...one being a 15lb Late Run that took about a 1/4 mile of river before we landed it. Shortly after hitting the big fish we agreed on pulling some plugs and hit another 6 pounder...overall a hell of a fun weekend with quality people and quality fishing. Overall we were 7 for 11...MPM did most of the photography and will post some sweet pics a little later...for now...here's a couple I got on my camera...

Unfortunately, MPM was too tired last night to get his pics onto his computer (and couldn't really figure out that whole "posting pics" thing last time he tried).

John, I'll send you some of the choicest pics later tonight by e-mail. Haven't seen whether that leaping fish pic came out blurry or sharp yet.

My quest on shore to find a dead lion, tiger, and bear all in the same calendar year fell short this weekend...the lion and tiger are going to be tough to come across...I was attacked by a swimming deer after dark though...I stepped away from camp to talk on the phone and I'm standing there trying to talk and stand at the same time and all of sudden this deer about 15 yards from me comes bolting out of the river and jets across the gravel bar right in front of me...it was dark so I never really got a good look at what it was other then a set of 4 skinny legs...assuming it was a deer...true story too.

Looks like a fun weekend. I wish I would here those words..."Disappear for the weekend".

Yeah...my wife is very understanding of my addiction.
