I cant understand why anyone would pay $500. The best guides on the coast are alot less and anyone so full of himself would get boring awfull fast.

Where do you like to
fish and for what
species?
I like to fish any where for
Steelhead. June and
Septober being all time
favorite. Sight fishing for
Brown Trout also ranks tops
on my list.
Its like a drug.. can't stop bashing this guy

I don't post much around here, but this guy is an extreme douche. His poses with the fish are hilarious. Not only does he poach fish, but he poached male figure skater johnny weir's pose too...

I think the Holy one he is referring to is the Hoh.
Not that I would condone this, but has anyone checked out the "fly-only" steelhead boards to see if they have eaten one of their own yet, or do they even know?

Why does it matter that he was a "fly" guide? Any guide should be getting exactly the same treatment and be held to a high standard of accountability regarding regs and ethics...

The hounds have nothing better to do than pull up charges from a decade ago. I never denied any of those things and never will. I don't side with the fly guide who may have killed a wild fish. I made no attempt to hinder Jake's chances at employment. I actually tried to help guide him into a class in Anchorage to get his CG license. I gave him an opportunity to guide in Alaska and he did just fine as a guide. I have nothing bad to say about Jake's fishing ability. He is a totally differnet person in real life than what people see here. He is very quit and polite. The only mean bone in his body comes from things he says on this board.
It's classic to see people justify a little back road drinking and then critisize someone who got caught with an extra salmon tag. Hey, I deserve to be critisized, but you better be lilly white if you are the one doing it.
If any of you high and mighty do gooders are so pure then I ask you to put you public records on the www for everyone to see. I don't think any of you want others to know anything about your past as they might think differently. I shall admit...I have fished for Chum in the past...and will continue to do so in the future...and the same thing applies to humpies...so sue my ass.
