Was thinking about floating the Satsop 2marrow with another member of the board. Have not floated it yet this year and have heard its got some hairy sweeper or low corner on the park float. Anybody done this float lately? Also is it easier to put in at the park, or just down at the Decker creek spot? We will be in a 16ft. Clack. One other thing, where is the closest take out if doing this float? I know that going all the way to the bridge is pretty far and we might be limited on time. Any help would be appriciated.
Thanks
Keith

closest take-out is cook creek, about 2 or 3 miles down the road, not sure on river miles(never floated it).

that's called the donation bar, and i haven't been up there since before there was a gate up. cook creek is just downriver, around the corner. there's a rough slide launch there.

launch on middle Satsop Rd where forks come together would be good.

If you're wanting to do the upper float, I'd certainly put in at Decker Creek, you won't miss much water above it. You could be at the west fork by 1-1:30 without feeling too rushed.

Or you could put in at the west fork and go to the freeway and it would be about the same on time.
