Do you know for a fact the Duc fish was bonked? Still has quite a bit of aqua dripping from it in the photo. What exactly do you expect from a website entitled "Bloodydecks"? Nice blackmouth though!

I'm squarely on your side, Thrasher, but I can't say I would expect anything too different from a site called "Bloodydecks." While there are plenty of other brands available, it sounds like a lot of those guys are partial to the Wood Shampoo and use it at every opportunity.

It got modded out, along with many other statements about it. That eyeball looks a bit dead to me. But regardless, the comments that were up before, led many to believe it was dead and it was dumb.

I do applaud you Thrasher for attempting to enlighten some of the fisherman out there who think a day of fishing is not successful unless you draw blood and bring something home.....to throw in the freezer and use as crab bait the following year. But from what I saw, I think you would be wasting your breath on that site.

He did have ample opportunity to say that he had released the fish....which he didn't. But then again, 22 lbs. on the dot? Look, the guy's an idiot if he bonked it and he's an idiot if all he did was violate Sparkey's Law and posted on the internet.....either way, he's an idiot.

Untill the law is changed to no retention of nats all you can do is try to educate people to do the right thing. With the huge number of idiots out there that don't give a sh!t, education is an long uphill slog. There needs to be another push to change the law.

Exactly, has anyone heard if the wild steelhead retention law is going to be pulled yet? Or is that process already past?

Regulations are set for the next two years - 2010/2011. Next chance, unless there is an emergency rule or action by the Commission will be for the 2012 regulation year. As I understand the process, comments will be collected starting in 2011.
