Not really "outdoor gear", but these cabinets would be great to store all of your outdoor gear in your garage or shed. My father is retiring and they are his office cabinets. Four foot tall and stackable(thus 8'), laminated wood, adjustable shelves every four inches if needed. I don't need them and he needs to get rid of them........cheap. They would be great for you or your wife's stuff. They are at his office in Bellevue, stop by and take a look-see. He also has other "office" type things, too.

How wide are the cabinets?

I think 36", the depth is either 15" or 18"(I'll verify later today) with double doors and "European" hinges. Really sturdy, too. Each cabinet has at least 8 to 10 shelves that can be adjusted to any height dimension.

They would be great for gear, tools, important files, canning goods, whatever. I'd take them myself, but I already have cabinets and no more room.

They are 3' wide and 17" deep. Originally, the cost $300 a piece. He only wants $50 per piece and you can buy one or all 8 pieces.

There is also a 6 1/2' tall seven-shelf double-open sided(see-through) metal cabinet, too.
