When the House, Senate, and Governor's Office all submit different plans, the resulting negotiations are, by design, going to end up with a final plan that none of them "love", but all of them must tolerate.

I understand that they may not all "love" what gets passed, but to "Just pass" something so our elected officials can "get out of town" does not sound like what we elect these officials to do. I got an idea ..... try doing what is best for the people that put you in office, not what will get you out of Olympia the fastest so you can start campaigning for November! If it takes longer than what the Governor wants, so be it, I'd much rather they take more time and get it right the first time.

It seems you think it comes down to something as simple as black and white. It doesn't. At this point, between the Senate, House, and Gov, there are three different budget plans, and they all think theirs is the "right" one that is best for the people. Clearly, at least two plans are wrong, if not all three. In your opinion, which one is "right" and best for the people?

Salmo, that is kind my point in a way ... if there are three different plans, why just pass one of them so they can get out of town? To me that just doesn't make sense, just pass something to pass it so you can get out of dodge and call it good?

And I can't really you give you an opinion on which one I think is right, I don't think any of them are! Instead of spending 6 weeks arguing about which taxes to raise, why not spend six weeks looking real hard at where they can reduce spending!!

Cheap beer drinkers need to call and protest. They are passing a regressive tax on all of us poor people. Plus when Obama,Reid And Pelosi get done taxing us to pay for health care we arent going to be able to afford those expensive micro brews. LOL

At the 50 cents per gallon tax, a twelve pack will cost about 15 cents more than now...this regressively taxed cheap beer drinker will be able to suck it up without too much pain...
