I'm not much of a Murray fan, but Rossi will make the choice for voters very simple. I guess the GOP hates moderates. If they ran one, they could take this race this year. But then of course, there probably isn't much for a moderate Republican to do inside the Beltway.

Murry and Rossi.......That is the best this state can come up with? The grinch followed by one of those two. F-ing washington. When will we get some real leadership in this state. At least Jacobsen is gone......one bright spot this year.

Rossi will most likely lose in the GOP primary anyway, so I don't see what the big deal is.

Rossi will get the number two spot in the primary simply because he can generate a larger war chest than other GOP or Teabagger candidates. Then he'll lose the general election, not because of Murray's sustaining appeal, but for the simple reason that WA generally prefers Dem Senators over Reps.

Hank's posts demonstrate total lack of familiarity with WA politics. If the Reps ran a Dan Evans style candidate, this is the year they could take Murray's seat with over 55% of the vote. But they won't, because the new Reps, or neocons, or whoever the hell is in charge of the loser party, hate moderate Republicans who are fiscally conservative and socially liberal. There are a lot of independents who would dump Murray for a moderate Rep who won't try to rape the environment and keep the gov't. out of the lives of gays, women's abortions, and other social issues. But no, the Reps would rather be on the outside, looking in, and ranting about their priority issues that aren't even on the radar screens of moderates who care about economics and social justice.
