While I think the dude was a "little" quick on the grab and set, here's a great shot of how fast and easy it is to have a fishing rod out of the holder and in your hand without changing the line tension or rod angle one tiny bit..and there are no other rodholders that can do it like that.

The db I bought had three of them in it. I love them! I don't plug much but when I do I really appreciate them.

Folbes work great as long as you dont slip and fall on your ass on the way to the rod

I think the only solution for that is a 12 step program

Scotty makes the same design, even looks a little more bullet proof. Folbes are a nice product though.

That's a sweet clip, been wanting to do something just like that for the Folbe boys.

That one showcases the action of the rod holder pretty darn well. All your hard earned $$ spent on their gear stays right here in the US of A, thats a huge plus in my book.

I had forgotten that. Now that's funny I dont care who you are. Of course you had been a bazillion hours wating for that springer hook-up. Sure glad we did get the fish.

Folbes in our Db...Only flaw is they sink really fast...I just know...

Folbes are without a doubt the best rod holder out there...He is also a local company who cares about us fisherman.

They do sink pretty fast

I bought one and used it most of last summer. For whatever reason it doesn't release smoothly and I have to fight to get the rod out of the holder.

I even went so far as to put some grease on the pivot point trying to make it smoother. That helped a bit but IMO its more hassle than its worth.

Its probably going to go in the garbage.

SM...anywhere there is a moving part, sand it down a bit...it'll take five minutes and you'll be very happy you did it.

Replaced all mine with Folbe after Bouy 10 last summer. Loved using them on the LCR last month. Very pleased. Three old holders available free to good home.

Nothing but Folbes on my boat. They are just the best!

sunk one on the kalama recently. luckily it wasn't mine... they're all i have on my boat too. only issue i've had was mounting them with the movable part towards the inside of the boat. had a rod get stuck for a few seconds. SM, make sure that the holder opens towards the water, away from you when you pull on the rod, seems to help.

I am worried about them sinking to, thinking about putting a pin in the slider so no cracker forgets to lock it and over the side it goes

I'm with SundayMoney on this one,I've tried WD40 & sandshrimp oil and still fight it a bit.I have one on the transom of my sled,which is my holder.Until it's a smooth gig I ain't gonna get the other two that's needed for the passengers,shouldn't have to sand jack [censored] @ the price they go for.Good luck,
