Griffey was the man who built baseball in the PNW, 1st ballot HOF and played at the highest level without being tainted by Roids like the vast majority of the players in his generation. Greatest swing and outfield play I have ever seen in his prime...CHEERS JR!

My Dad and Mom lived close to where the Bellingham Mariner's played when Junior played there. Dad called me after a couple of games and said he'd seen a future hall of famer play there. He was right.
I hope Junior enjoys his retirement as much as I did watching him play.

Without question one of the greatest ever. One of the most naturally gifted ball players we'll see for generations.

Although as far as building or saving baseball in the PNW I would have to give Sweet Lou a share of the credit as well.

After all, without Lou,............does Griffey even stay in Seattle?
