fshwithnoeyes Returning Adult Registered: 08/20/08 Posts: 299 Loc: Lewis Co via Bham	Going to be making a trip up to Skagway for a few days in early August. Anybody know if the fishing is any good around there? Any info you have is appreciated! _________________________ If we ignore the environment it will just go away

Sebastes Repeat Spawner Registered: 10/31/02 Posts: 1341 Loc: Monroe,WA.	I don't know about August, but I've fished at Haines in June, there is a popular Sockeye fishery on the Chilkoot River near Haines from tidewater up to the lake. Pinks can be caught from the beaches in the salt. I think there is a hatchery King fishery at Skagway, but don't know the details. It has been a while since I looked, but I believe you will find some excellent information on fishing the area on the Alaska Department of F&G website.
