Actually wasnt the music deal more with Gore's wife like in 85-86. I thought Gore was the head of the US delegation for the Earth summit while still a Senator.

Gore wrote, "Earth in the Balance" before the 92 election, so he was pretty much on the environmental bandwagon. And Clinton's designation of national wilderness areas and national monuments just before leaving office was his concession to Gore's environmental interests. As it turns out, those actions and the book appear to have been much better grounded than his stretch on global warming.

I agree the whole thing sounds fishy, but there are some points that make it interesting. The first being that she did report it three years ago and did tell her freinds what happened. The second that she claims to have the stained clothes. It seems that if it was all for the money, why wait 3 years? BUT....., it definitely appears to be about the money for her now. The best lies have the most truth. My guess is A) that he was drunk, he made the pass, and she agreed, or B) He was drunk, made the pass, was rebuked, got loud and angry and she just cowered and did what he said. In case B he would think nothing was wrong and she (especially if she was abused as some point) would feel that she was forced in to something. I know of a case where an 25 year old married man made a pass at a younger, 18 year old girl. For the past 30 years she claims he tried to rape her and he claims he just made a pass at her. I have seen the guy get mad, he is just plain scary. He snapped once at me during a ball game and scared me to death. But..., I have never seen him or heard of him ever hurting anyone. Sounds to me that this is very likely what happened.

Hopefully this story has a happy ending, for someone.
