Some people in my sisters neighborhood got their house foreclosed on and left there dogs to fend for themselves. After watching these dogs for a couple weeks becoming more and more famished my sister decided to take them in. They are two female lab mixes, both very sweet and healthy (besides being under weight). She thinks they around 3 years old. I already have two labs so I cant take anymore. If anyone is looking for a dog and wants some good Karma let me know or respond to the craigs list ad.

With any luck, the old owners are running homeless and starving in the streets... Scum!

I could do a foster care thing if needed.
I think one is enough for me but could do a month of rehab on the beast and then look for adoption.
Keep me in mind.
Cam I could do this now.
ps I know splitting them up would suck but I don't want 3 dogs.

Update, I just got back from my sisters house. These are not lab mixes they seem to be pure bred, and they are pretty young, the yellow one is around 1-2 years old and the black one, possibly the yellow ones mother is about 4-5 years old, they are very friendly and not over energetic like some labs can get.

This might be an alternative for those labs -- http://www.pslra.org/html/rescue.htm Puget Sound Lab Rescue. We got our last catahoula as a rescue dog. It is amazing how different they are. They have known good times and bad times. When they go to a good home, they demonstrate on almost an hourly basis just how thankful and appreciative they are.

Good news, a family from Puyallup responded to the craigslist ad. My sister had a meet and greet with them this morning, they loved the dogs and took them both.
