Going with a guide this week. Seems fish go from water to the box. So,what about bleeding or other handeling tips.

If you want better quality eating, you should apply a light wood shampoo to stun the fish and then bleed it out by cutting the gills.

If the guide doesn't want a messy fish box, take along a large plastic trash bag to put the fish before your cut the gills. It makes clean-up a lot easier.

I give mine a little love tap on the noggin and then rope it, bleed over the side of the boat in the current, then into the box on ice it goes.

Always have quality meat and blood free eggs.

Have to agree with ShimanoMan as this is the perfect way to get the best of both the meat and the eggs. ONLY issue would be to keep roping to a MINIMUM when Hersel or his buddys are present or may even be present!! That can turn into an ugly scene!!
