Talked to Ted this morning he said it was red hot for three days and yesterday the 18th it had slowed down but still catching some nice fish. It was raining when I spoke with him I will be leaving Monday morning early, won't be there until the evening bite. Thats if Repsteelheader gets back from Spokane in time to get stuff ready dig dig.
Hoping the rain brings another flush of HO's in

Just got home, here's the report from my crew. Thursday one of two boats limited, we ended up with two big fish. Friday, all boats limited one 18# the rest over 10, and Saturday two hook-ups that the newbys lost and 1 for 1 on the other boat. The fish were finning on the surface, and we had our downrigger lines at 35 and 45 with e-chip heads and whole herring. Between the two boats we had four doubles in two days. We have never had so much success and fun, guess timing was right. We watched as one boat would hook up and then the boat behind them would troll through the school and lines were popping.

At 9am today there was no one cleaning fish at Olson's. Maybe someone will chime in with a report from today. Yesterday was rough but fish were being caught at the tide changes and it sounds like there was an early morning bite. Oh, and everyone was in close working the points not the shipping lanes. My depthfinder is crap but radio had depths of 400-560. Bring your GPS the fog was thick.

Sounds like it was really good for a couple of days, but the rain seemed to move the fish through or put them off the bite. Wish I had been around for the 16th-17th... but we showed up late on Friday and picked up a couple just before dark. Saturday we had to work all day to get our fish after a good early bite.

Today was slower. We only boated one in the morning and had to go back early. Nobody had much of anything except a couple of boats that had fished west toward Kydaka Pt. Those boats had limits and they were all sweet fish.

In the end, all was good. Not epic this weekend like it had been before we showed up. But, there were fish to be caught and they were nice. Smallest fish we kept was about 8 lbs. Most all were 10-12 lbs. Wind was light and the rain held off till dark. Landed several kings and a really nice 15 lb. blackmouth that was so bright I was sure I'd hooked my biggest silver ever. Most people we talked to hooked a king on Saturday.
