Does anybody know of any good walk-in lakes, with camping that would be suitable to take my 5 year old? I am looking for a lake, with fish, easy hike of a mile or two, where my son and I can commune with nature. Lakes in the Olympics or southern Cascades would be preferable. I liked Barclay Lake up by Stevens Pass. Fairly easy hike. I took my 5 yo on this one. There were logs at one end that got you out far enough to make casting easy. There are many others and I'm sure you will get many replies.

I do hate to disappoint you about one thing though, the Highway 2 & I-90 parking areas have received a lot of vandalism in recent years, so parking any vehicle overnight is questionable.
