Looks like the Seahawks just picked up Lynch from Buffalo.

He's had some off the field issues, but this is a good, safe move. I mean he is 24, first round pick, short contract, has size and speed, and has played with Forsett before. At best, he re-surfaces as a 1k rusher, at worst we dump him this year.

I like Forsett, but he can't outrun a MLB, let alone a corner. Lynch has speed and size, and is an upgrade over all of our current backs. For a 4th round pick, yeah, I like it.

Can we now get rid of Julie Jones? I like this move.

All kidding aside - show me a troubled running back with breakaway speed, slap on a bargain price and a short-term contract, and this GM is buying every time. If his rap sheet grows while he's here, we call him an embarrassment and send him packing after next season.

This is pro football, which I think the Seahawks organization has confused with a beauty pageant in recent years. The novelty of rooting for a bunch of good guys that can't win the lowly NFC West has long since worn off. Glad to see Carroll and company aren't afraid to bring in some goons with talent to git er done.

It's a good thing he came cheap, though. Unless this team finds some linemen that can open a hole occasionally, we won't see much improvement in the running game. Anybody know of some guards/tackles out there with pending assault charges that aren't too scary?

Thank god we got rid of JJ. About damn time. Never seen such a candy ass running back get paid so much. A few more need to meet the Carrol chopping block.........I think old Branch should be next.......Any other likely contenders?

I didn't like letting Wilson go but Jennings has shown considerable improvement. Trufant has been beaten more times than Jennings. He's a Coug afterall

Fact is I don't go to practice so I'll reserve judgement on secondary moves to the paid professionals.

Lynch was a good pickup for a 4th round pick. Good guys have their place on a team but personally I'd prefer a team full of axe muderers.

Sounds like we'll be getting our wish about Branch. If we get a 4th, that would replace what we just gave up for Lynch.

Amazing if they can pull that off. Branch is probably at his peak of value for the rest of his career. Plus we have Stokely now, who is the poor mans Welkerr, and can take Branch's slot position easily.

Agree. Branch just doesn't fit anymore. We have 3 receivers that fit that profile with him, Butler, and Tate. Somebody's gotta go.

I can see Stokley and Hasslebeck developing a good repoire together. Was impressed with what I saw out of him last week.
