Most awesome trip and pics!

The only thing is that next year you'll have to share the rivers with one more person. Me!

Some great photos Ryley (and Coley too)! I'm a better person for letting most of my fish release themselves... or at least that is what I keep telling myself. smile

Awesome yellow colors up there this year!

Aaron! Your alive! Heard about being one with the river and thinking like the fish and all of that but uh, seems you may have taken it a little overboard! (pun intended) grin

It was nice meeting many of you. There were some impressive cameras in that camp. They took some impressive photo.'s. Too bad we din't have flyfish friday.

Remember to look and see if the fly guy who just hooked a fish was using tips or a floating line. That's all the info. I care to suck from you.

I'll be back.

Stunning work Ryley!

OK.... finished the AM shift at the office and couldn't wait to get back to this thread.

Narrative only helped to seal the deal on putting steelhead mecca on the bucket list. We mere mortals are stuck at home having to settle for lowly salmon.... the only consolation is we get to eat ours! But one of these years I'll have to give up a prime week in GH to visit BC steel country.

I can't wait to retire!

Very nice story and pics Ryley! Totally enjoyed reading and looking. You are good with the written word and the camera.
You wrecked my day though....I spent the morning watching Blades snag coho at the Cascade and catching some summers myself. Thought that was awesome....then I see this. I lose!
Nicely done :-)

Thanks a ton for all the kind words! I can't wait to see any of the pics the other guys got as well. please feel free to post em up here or start a new thread.

One more story to tell. On the day we hiked up the little river, the fishing was fantastic to the point where we each gave each other honor's on each fishing hole, like golfers in the teebox, for first cast. The fish were so snappy they would annihalate the first well presented anything that crossed their path...it was just one of those days you long for and rarely experience. I know trip's to the same water before and after that day did not yield the same results...We were just lucky to be at the right spot, right time!

Just received another pic of my favorite fish from the trip, compliments of Coley G. This buck was just a beautifully spotted fish, catching him was fun and special at the same time...he was waiting for me and only me grin

WOW, awesome post! The fish and the countryside look spectacular. I've wanted to get up there for a long time but this seals the deal- it's now a must that I will make time for! I have a hunch this won't be the last we see of some of these great photos either...
