Anyone got any good trips planned for the holiday weekend??
If you want to talk about it, and it's a "secret lake", change the name and tell us where you're going.
Me, I'm leaving about 2 on Friday to go fishing in BC at... er..ah.. L OON Lake. I almost forgot that **** is a bad word on here and I need to space it out so people can read it.
L OON is also about an hour away from Hihium if the road isn't gated. I heard last year the road got gated in the summer.
I'll have my little pram and two anchors along.

I think that I will be fishing locally, slaying all the holdovers that you guys will be driving by.
I guess my plans include one or 2 nearby lakes and one day on the sound looking for some good hookups.

I read yesterday's report on Lake Ki that got me a little interested.
Also, I'm ready for the salmon run's as I like flyrodding for them.
July has the humpies coming in to Hoodsport. I did that back in 1995 and it's a hoot using a 5wt dry lone and casting to the schools. The run this year should be big enough to allow fishing for them. Sometime after 1995 they opened up fishing for the kings that return there. That should be August.
I should focus on this weekend's trip instead of July and August. I'm headed up to 404's land to fish for his trout, listen to his l oon's and maybe even drink his beer.
And if I get the chance, go to a sporting goods store and look at his seal fur.

I will be doing what I did last weekend and that is fishing in the lakes in Thurston and Mason Countys. Largest kept: 18" Smallest Kept: 12" Limits all three days and I released at least one limit a day. I keep the small ones only when they are bleeding. I used flys only, no bait this time.

Heading up to Mason Lake for the long weekend. May fish it for some of those tasty bluebacks. Haven't heard if they have any size this year. I will likely hit Cady, my secret, no name, native cutthroat ponds or a newly found lake that cost me a new front brake rotor since I didn't check the depth of the puddle I went through. Gotta get me one of them high clearance rigs! I may even try to get over to Price's. So many options, so little time. Good luck to all of you on the weekend fishing trips.

It's easy to keep the name of a lake secret when it doesn't have a name. Maybe you could name it whatever you want.
How about Java Lake after your handle of Micro Brew.
My secret lakes have names... but they aren't shown on any maps. How's that for convenient?
What are you doing the weekend after Memorial Day? I may give Trout Master the "secret handshake" and take him to tick heaven and whatever those other biting bugs were.

The weekend after M. Day? Fishing with you of course. Someone has to help you keep TM in line, his posts have been rather scary lately. I sure hope he gets out this weekend to get the edge off. That sans clothes comment brings some pretty ugly images to mind.....

Ok, I'll be good, it must be the heat! My windows faces west and there is know air conditioning up here. Its 95 deg f at my desk. I dont think Micro Brew drinks coffee unless it comes in a brown bottle.

I'm heading to Cady Lake on Sunday for sure and maybe over to Buck Lake on Saturday afternoon. When I'm down at Cady I hope to pick up a copy of the topo map from Larry.
Have a good weekend and good luck if you get on the water.

I will be visiting my Pa at Blue Lake (Grant County) for the whole weekend. He has water front property. I am going to take my boat and hit all the lakes over in that area. You know the ones.
It's alllll good!

Itty-bitty t-ball on Saturday morning coaching a bunch of anklebiters, so Mike, I feel your pain. Hopefully I will get out in the evening to Isabella or Phillips lake. Got 10 fish last Sunday with my 5 year old. He only out fishes me 'cause some has to drive the boat, ya know. Most were cuts up to 12 inches. Released all fish caught. Chasin' coyotes on Sunday as my halibut trip was cancelled because Westport met their quota. Chasin' coyotes on Monday or maybe a bike ride into Stump lake. best of luck to all. Andy
