I'm selling myself short? That's a smallmouth? Hmmm, well like I told ya, I'm new at bass fishing so I just assumed it was a largemouth cuz I've never seen a small mouth. rolleyes Sawry. :p

I haven't been to Steilicoom in a couple of months so I have no idea why they are dying. That doesn't sound too good.

Did you have any luck there at all?

Loc: Tacoma Wa,
A smallmouth of that size is a prize.
A largemouth of that same size is just a good catch.
Smallmouth normally put up a better fight.
Did that fish put up a good fight.
Your new to bass fishing and you aready have a jewl in your photo album. Better get a scale if your going to catch fish like that.

Troutmaster - you teach trout to fight like bass and I will come to the other side. I'm going Trout'n on saturday. Maybe I will try my first fly trout. Would first light be the best time?

I don't remember what I put in my report, but yeah, the only thing that fought better than that was my 15lb Coho hen. That fish put my bass pole to the test all right. It barely fit into our net. I'll admit my heart beat a little faster fighting that fish into the boat.

I have that photo 5X7 enlarged & hanging on my wall. Hmm, now that I know it's a small mouth I just may have to feel a little more proud of myself. :p

Troutmaster, I'm living proof you can both love trout & bass. smile Can't we all just get along? frown

Basser, first light can be a good time. I've had success at all times of the day. You just have to read the water, shoals, etc.

Whooooo Eeeeeee. I finally made returning Adult. I knew a couple of guys that did that. Planted Bass from one lake to another. I told them that was wrong but they said they didn't care. I know I should have done something but I didn't. That was many years ago. I think the lake they planted is now fished out. It was a very small one. shocked

Out of sight out of mind. Just courious. Not intended to pry. Good luck this weekend. I'd go fishing but my back decided to go out and now all I get to do is beat on my computer. But things are looking up.Streams open up next Friday and I have my eye on about 10 good ones. So much area to fish and so little time. laugh

Jim,

I had my back give me a "twinge" as I was loading the camper for my last fishing trip.

Woke up that night and it felt like I wouldn't be able to get out of bed. I was lucky I had a hefty bottle of Aleve along. That night it hurt so bad I woke myself up trying to roll over.

My boat seat was comfortable so things felt lots better when I fished.

Don't believe Trout Master when he speaks of Zen. He's just mouthing the words.

Met you guys once. If you fish as good as you B******t.you must be quite the fisherpersons. I'm not much for lake fishing,But I Have most of the toys required to do so. I just don't like sitting in a whatever that long. I like to keep moving.
