Hello Everyone,
Got back in late last night, called in sick today (really do have the flu) so I got some reports posted. I'll get more done in the next few days, so if your report isn't up yet it will be.
Didn't do any fishing but did get out sailing on a 14 Hobie catamaran - fun! The lake water back there in Madison is green and full of algae floating on the surface. Be thankful our lakes are so clean by comparison!

Just thought I'd ask. What were you doing in Wisconson. Are you from there. I am, but haven't been back in almost 58 years. laugh

I was born in Madison and grew up there and in Waunakee, just outside Madison. I moved here in 86. Went home visiting family. I'm amazed by the amount of growth going on. The area is really booming. What area are you from?

Jim what the heck!
Hop on a grayhound, what do you have to lose.
Going back to your home town will make you feel young again, at least for a little while. Lots of good times I bet. Maybe a fish story or two.
If you can't get back you can still visit.
Just find a lake, stream, pond, or what ever you fished way back when, and wet a line. It's almost like being there. (Why I can almost hear my old man cussing now as he took me fishing as a yong boy back in good old north idaho) The mind is a powerful thing. laugh laugh laugh Have a good trip.

I don't want to go back. I left Wisconson when I was nine. Don't have many memories left. Never fished at that early age. Didn't get interested in fishing till I got married. Good way to get away from spouse. Only been fishing for 45 years. Just about know all I want to. Born in Sheboygan. Lived in Madison,Green Bay. I drove thru the state on the way to Chicago. It's way to crowded for me now. laugh

Wisconsin is too crowded?? Compared to around here its downright empty. I had some weird feelings driving through old neighborhoods, thats for sure. My dad passed away last year so the visit was kind of tough, visiting the gravesite and all. Reminds me to hug the kids a little harder, be a little more patient, and appreciate the day a little more. Today's Thought For The Day. smile
