Well, they don't live in the arboretum, ya know, like where the grass and trees are, but they do inhabit the waters of Lake Washington. smile

I lived near the Super Foods on Montlake for about a year, and fished there pretty regularly. I caught lots of perch, some bass (small and largemouth), pea mouth chubs (a large minnow kind of like a squawfish), and a few trout. A small boat or canoe is perfect as the waters are protected from wind and waves if you stay on the inside areas. The section where you can paddle under 520 was pretty productive, but a bit noisy.

Another urban fishing haunt when I lived up there was Green Lake. The one where many college cuties, and some not-so-cuties, run around on a daily basis. They plant rainbows, browns, and tiger muskies in there. There are also bass, perch, bullhead catfish, and I also caught a 8lb 6oz Atlantic Salmon there once, as well(with a spaghetti tag from the UW).

Hope this helps,

Andy

What bait should you use?
Thanx

Worms, small spinners, and a selection of flies always worked well for me. Other than that, you what you normally use. A
