Allie recently said she wants to see photos of her babies - the Blue Mickey pups. I love pix of the pups too. So Allie here are a few of Tye, how aboput the rest of you putting up some of his brothers and sisters?

Tye having his morning coffee

Tye looking for a vet in the yellow pages

Tye asking, "What's a dog got do to get a treat around here?"

I wish I would have had my camera.....met Kaiser's dog on Saturday night. Holy crap are these pups big! Boris (or Borass) and Chase played intensely. It was cool.
Good dogs both of them.
Borass is a much better bank dog than Chase.
Chase is a good boat dog but he has some practice.

Curious if Tye ever gets punished? For example, did he "learn" that chewing up the phone book is not good?

Boris has gotten into a few things and messed 'em up. If I don't catch him in the act, I'll generally let it slide. If I happen to catch him in the process of going nuts, he'll KNOW he did something wrong.

So funny he thinks he is a lap dog. rofl

Tye does get punished for most chewing stuff, but the wife is not nearly as hard ass as I am. She got him that phone book and tok the photo before I got home. And yes he does think he's a lap dog. Looks like he's right.

Lulu is great. On the small side though. Goes to work and plays all day, then plays all night also.

I don't have the technical skills to do pics on PP. I always get sidetracked. BTW, I've got he last 3 years of fish/deer/x-mas/Bday pics on my camera still.,,never have the time to download, let alone post them.

Boris had a good long weekend on the river recently. A good mix of sunshine and outright dounpours. I figured that being wet in a driftboat all day is a lot for a little one to take so I decided to get him a neoprene vest. He received a healthy dose of dog treats the first two times I put in on and seemed OK with the whole thing. He never freaked out or tried to bite at it. It is quality construction, with a heavy-duty oversized zipper and two holes at the top that form a handle, allowing the dog to be picked up. To top it off, despite getting (and staying) wet, he never shivered. When the vest came off at the end of the day, the inside was toasty warm. The brand is "Avery" incase anyone cares.

Wow, they are all great looking dogs, a perfect mix of Blue and Mickey!

I too would love to see some pics of Lulu, Jackie and I both really liked her as a pup.

Took Tye to the public hunting area this AM. He jumped two roosters but didn't seem too interested in them. he was much more intersted in tweety birds. Any ideas about how to get him more into phesants? After the "hunt" we did a little in the river retrieving.

If you have a dead bird to work with. Treat it like a toy for him flail it in front of him, tease him with it basically get him all jacked up abought it then throw it a couple of times and put it away. If he retrieves it praise the heck out of him .Less is more in this case, A few time's a week and he should "get it" rather quickly.

Make it like a reward or treat or something special.

That dog is going to make a bird hunter out of ya. Might be a chance I can take some time off over the Christmas season or a week or 2 before. I would love to see some of these pups point.

I know you aren't supposed to feed your dog at the table, and we don't, but Tye sure thinks we should consider it
