Anyone going out next week, there giving us 4 days! I'm good for 2 days at least. Will report at the end of the madness, I seen enough does to send me back to my home everyday, hopefully that ain't the case. Good Luck all!

Friday went out, hit snow in the gate at about 3 mile, seen the first deer before day light, couldn't get a visual to see if it was a shooter. Day progressed the snow picked up in the higher ground. Lots of tracks, bears, deer, coyotes.

All in all seen about 5 does, nothing really out and moving on this day. I pushed some brush to try and maybe jump, that buck, didn't get my chance. Seasons over next year is my year! Now if I can figure out how to post pictures, bear tracks.

Hunted friday and part of sat. Hiked in behind closed gates and buried roads.
Seen 6 deer. 1 had it's head in the bushes and didn't come out. just walked into the thik stuff.
Saw a huge deer that had a yearling doe with it. i'm assuming it was a big doe. the little one hadn't grown much. We found her dead in a clearcut. No injuries, just looked like she laid down and didn't wake up.
Saw lots of cougar track in the snow high up.
Maybe next year.

Headed there Wed. for late archery deer/elk, hoping to put some meat in the freezer. Thanks for the reports!

Late muzzle loader starts in a few days!

Yeah, I am stoked. We should have some good weather for it this year. I have prepared the wife and the office, that I am going to put in more time than last year.

Which won't be hard since I only hunted for about 4 hours the entire season last year.

Today is the opener to late muzzle loader, elk opened yesterday in most units. Good Luck to all that head out to chase em down!
