I've been gone a couple of days over the holiday weekend, log back on this board and only see a post or two.
So, what the heck is happening? Is it the requirement to register to post that cut down on the number of posters that the old board had? .... or is it that Trout Master has a real job now and doesn't have the time to post?
I went dove hunting over the weekend and checked on a fishing spot. A guy told me he was catching trout on chronies suspended 15 feet under an indicator.

GLAD I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO WAS WONDERING ABOUT THAT. I JUST GOT A NEW COMPUTER AND THOUGHT THAT MAYBE MY SOFTWARE WAS MESSED UP(ON THE NEW MACHINE!), EITHER THAT OR EVERYONE ELSE IS OUT HAVING FUN FISHING, WHILE I'M STUCK HERE WORKING!

I think it is because lake season is wrapping up, hunting season is on it's way, and there are sooooooo many fish to be caught in the rivers and salt. I have a hard time getting excited about catching a one pound trout, when I could be catching 38 silvers up to 15 pounds in a single day from my boat. That could be part of it.

There has been a slight decrease in postings due to people, including my self, a spending less time in front of the computer and more time with a line in the water. During August and September you gotta fish and fish hard!
Good luck!

I think Carl and Dogfish are correct. The lake fishing tends to decrease this time of year as people switch to salmon and soon, steelhead. I notice the same thing with the fishing reports slowing down from here till next spring. Although I will note that fishing reports are running about 20% ahead of last year's pace. I also think that the fact people have to register does discourage some people from posting. Frankly, I don't worry about it too much. I'd rather have a core group of readers who will use the board properly than a bunch of posters who have rude manners and off the wall posts. Logging on to Bravenet and deleting posts was my least favorite activity as a web master. If you need a reminder what it was like, just wander over to NWFishing.com's forum. BTW, caught 3 salmon today off West Pt. Nice AM bite!

Unfortunately, Micro Brew has not wetted a line for quite some time, so nothing to report. Spent the Labor Day weekend up at elk camp. There is absolutely no water around the camp, except for a couple of seeps. We did get one small elk on Sunday. As the weather cools, I will be getting our over the next 2 months. I post the results. Looking forward to more activity on the board.
