The War on Terror is just a repackaging of the Cold War and The Dirty Little Wars rolled into one.

It's essentially just a blank check for the CIA, the Pentagon, and the guys that make toys for them.

What kills me, are those boats that follow our State ferries around...what a joke. They are useless and to me serve no purpose.

In the first week or so after the 9/11 attacks, there were a whole bunch of reports that had eyewitnesses describing the Pentagon attack, and the crashing of the plane in Pennsylvania...and none of those reports or eyewitnesses corroborated the "official" story; most of them directly contradicted the official stories, as a matter of fact.

Then they just flat out stopped, and no one in the media has asked those questions since...various outlets were interviewing the witnesses, whose stories were consistent in many ways, they were taking pictures of the sites (the Pentagon and the field in PA)...and at the same time all of the outlets stopped, just stopped cold in doing anything that could contradict the official story. No explanations, no nothing about the witnesses or stories, the pictures disappeared...just over, at once, no followup.

I'm sure we'll never know exactly what happened behind the scenes that day, but I've been pretty convinced that something very fishy happened at least at the Pentagon, and I've read stuff from several eye witnesses that say the plane in PA was shot down, too...something seems fishy there as well.

What are you trying to say? Conspiracy? What would be gained?

Not trying to say anything than what I did say...there are a handful of witnesses in PA that all saw the same thing, or variations on a theme...a fighter jet in the air as the plane came down. I'm not assuming they're correct any more than I just accept the official story at face value.

There are also witnesses that were at the Pentagon who emphatically said there was no plane. Again, you can make all the guesses about that you want...I'm not.

I'm just pointing out that in the immediate aftermat of 9/11 there was coverage of these witnesses and their stories, and many pictures of what was clearly not a plane crash at the Pentagon...and on day 7 or 8 the coverage flat out stopped on a dime, and no one in the media ever said a word about it again...they didn't even acknowledge that they were covering it just a few days before.

The amount of things that could be gained by conspiracies can all come down to one...money, tons of it, buttloads of it, shiploads of it.

I think the coverage stopped because of the magnitude of the Twin towers collapsing and thousands dying.

It's weird that it started the day the Towers fell, and ended the day the Gubmint told everyone what happened, and who did it.

I had considered a conspiracy, especially concerning the Pentagon, but seeing the expression on Bush's face as he found out about the attacks when he was reading the pony book to the kindergartners changed my mind.

What's to be gained? A mass panic fear state in the populous resulting in an unnecessary oil war in Iraq worth loads and loads cashola, that's what.

Oil war? When did we declare war on Canada? More of the oil we import comes from Canada than any other country.

Sorry BD, but the fact that Canada is our largest oil trading partner has no causal basis for our oil, military, and war interests in the middle east, unless you think there's some strategic reason that Canada should supply us with all our oil. At any rate, you're not making sense.

Stratigically we should be using more of our own oil, but that's a different subject.

Oil security seems further down the list on reasons to be in the middle east. To think the entire war is just to give the military a blank check, and secure our oil interests in Iraq is just plain silly. The abundant conspiracy theorists will likely never be convinced however.

There's a ton more money involved in the ME wars than there ever will be in oil, it's just one of the perqs of being in on the ground floor.

Methinks KK has you pegged. With a military engine as big as ours, strategically it makes more sense to use up everybody else's oil first, saving our own for last.

What I'm saying is that many of the beneficiaries of the war don't get the oil, they get our tax dollars...and they get plenty. Valuing the oil is one thing...getting your hands on it and making a profit from it is quite another.

I'll add,..... that if Hanjour was really the pilot who successfully executed the dive necessary to crash a Boeing 757-223 into the Pentagon at 500 knots without so much as skimming the front lawn,

,...............then I'll eat one of my own turds.

Retired commercial airline pilots as family and friends who have examined the evidence have personally told me the manuever explained by the 9/11 commission report is physically impossible, for any pilot in that aircraft.

Ventura may not be a few sandwiches short of a picnic but he makes some salient points.

If all this Pentagon 9/11 conspiracy stuff is total BS, then why not shut up all the loons and release the footage taken by the other 85 security cameras that day?,...........and don't tell me it's to protect "national security".

Hank, I'm sure you noted that on the right side of that vid on youtube that there are about 50 more, all on the other side of the subject?
